The Eden Rock, located on the island of St. Barts, is positioned as the island's first hotel and is a member of the prestigious Relais & Chateaux group of distinguished hotels. It is situated five minutes from the airport and a short fifteen minutes from the port of Gustavia. The Eden Rock developed from a uniquely positioned house built over fifty years ago by Remy DeHaenen, a celebrated local adventurer and former mayor of St. Barts. David and Jane Matthews have operated this intimate oceanfront retreat since 1995. The English couple is currently overseeing the resort's renovation and expansion.
With 16 air-conditioned guest rooms on the property, Eden Rock provides a luxuriously intimate setting and prides itself on its excellent service. This spectacular property boasts a breathtaking view of the St. Jean shoreline, mountains and neighboring islands and offers not one, but two of St. Bart's most beautiful beaches. The resort lines its sandy beaches with plenty of teak lounge chairs and umbrellas for guest use.
One of the highlights of Eden Rock is its on-site spa. The private open-air spa offers the ultimate in relaxation. The spa features two natural seawater pools carved out of rock. Spa treatments, massages, and health drinks are also available. The on-staff physiotherapist provides guests with personal and individualized advice.
